Theta Attachment

Omni has developed an independent theta attachment for Philips goniometers allowing a standard powder diffractometer to perform rocking curves and other uncoupled scans. The attachment and all components necessary to independently move the theta circle is provided in a retrofit kit. It is fully automatic, motorized, and computer controlled. It is easy to install and can be done without disturbing the instrument alignment with the tube tower. The new theta circle uses an industry standard stepping motor that yields a minimum step of 0.005 degrees of theta. It also incorporates a limit/index switch that terminates in an ordinary D15P or AMP round connector. The attachment is compatible with virtually any controller including the Omni Instruments' Auto-MateTM.
